The model was never the hard part to leave. It is everything you taught it: your preferences, project structure, decisions, sources, and months of useful work.
Your project records stay in ordinary files you control. A compatible AI tool can use those files as context. File access, helper tools and setup vary by app.
Switching
Choose another compatible tool. Bring your records.
If you change tools, check that the new app can read the project files you choose to provide. Cowork, Codex, Copilot, DeepSeek and Gemini have different file-access and execution capabilities. MindMake does not choose a vendor for you.
Keeping your records outside the subscription makes them available for reuse. You still need to check the new tool’s understanding; the same context does not guarantee identical answers or complete recall.

X1.7 retains source-linked commitments, review dates and blockers, done and snooze history, and receipts for scheduled runs. Apple Reminders is an optional connection. The storage-r2 update keeps the SQLite recording cache on the local computer and shares immutable event files instead of a shared database. Folder-map finalization also handles the shared-folder visibility failures found in testing.
What we verified: The storage-r2 archive passed its technical checks and one fresh paired Claude Cowork planning and memory-retrieval test. That is one observed result, not a promise that every model will remember every detail.
Limits to know: Full startup can be slow. Do not write to the same conversation from two computers at once or run folder-map updates concurrently. Native Windows, recovery from physical power loss, phone delivery and unattended operation remain unverified. This download does not include the separate, later seed-capsule enforcement update.
The generic download starts with intake unanswered and background services disabled. Automated reviews need supported local execution, scheduler configuration and a computer available to run them. Apple Reminders is optional and needs supported macOS setup; iPhone delivery depends on your iCloud and notification settings. Your personal history, accounts and private task data are not packaged.
How it works
Download the folder. Give your AI access.
Unzip MindMake on your computer. Give a compatible AI app access to the folder, then ask it to “load up.” X1.7 directs the assistant to read the routed core guidance, including Cartographer, before setup questions. Check that those reads happened, then review its understanding of your project before starting work.
Basic file access, Python helpers, scheduled reviews and reminders have different setup requirements. Start with the files; add supported automation when you are ready.
Where LGIs fit
LGIs are specialized AI toolkits. They add focused guidance for writing, filmmaking, teaching, games and other work; they do not certify expertise or guarantee results.
Use free MindMake alone, choose an optional toolkit or write your own guidance. Paid extras and your AI subscription have separate costs.
